We took out the bulkheads to give a smoother transition to the vaulted ceiling, updated the shower, demoed the deck and jetted soaking tub. Now this space feels much more open! We kept the overall layout but created more storage and functional spaces for the homeowners morning and evening routine. The tall cabinets act as pillars to lead your eye toward the beautiful palladium window with a large Victoria Albert soaking tub. In the shower area, we have extended the tile to the ceiling, added two niches (shelves) with a decorative tile. Per clients request we did a rain can shower head and added a handheld on a slide bar. The slide bar can also be used as a grab bar for transition purpose like getting in and out of the shower. The all glass shower door makes the area feel much more open.
When you look back at the before pictures. The client had double doors leading into the master bathroom. In order to expand the shower depth, we shrunk the width of the doorway and added a barn door.
