Four Kitchen and Bath Moving Tips
Moving doesn’t have to be stressful! Here are some things you might not have considered when planning a move. These tips are sure to help you move from one place to the next easier than ever before. Check Pittsburgh Movers to make sure your next transition is as pleasant as possible.
- Here’s an eco friendly tip that also reduces damaged items! Wrapping any fragile items in your clothes allows you to cut down on using costly supplies like bubble wrap or packing peanuts. This might be hard for you to do if you’re strictly organizing boxes by room since most fragile items are kitchenware, but it’s worth it! An extra trip to the run the clothes to the bedroom is a lot quicker than having to leave to get more packing supplies.
- Think about the items you will be using first and organize them into clear bins so you know exactly where they are when you’re unloading. Things like daily toiletries, rags, garbage bags, and your basic tools will be some of the things you’re going to need to use as soon as you get into the new house. It’s easy to lose one cardboard box when you have a lot of them, so this will allow you to get settled quickly!
- One of the worst things is unpacking your bathroom items and cosmetics to see that they’ve become damaged after a move. Makeup is extremely expensive nowadays, so you want to protect your investment! Buy cotton pads and cotton balls to put into your makeup to make sure the product isn’t broken during the move. You can also put saran wrap underneath the cap of your beauty and bath products to make sure there isn’t any leakage.
- Keep some small pouches or sandwich bags to put hardware from furniture into, and tape it to the item for easy access when you’re putting it back together. It can be quite frustrating to lose a tiny piece needed to put together your living space, and nobody wants to make another trip to the store in the moving process.
